Dry Carving

22 Apr

This first shot is of a moon face before the dry-carving, and then two shots of it after. I have to either resist getting lazy with the dry carving or develop skills to do more detail work while the clay is wet. My latest trend is to add a layer of molding/carving after the clay has partially dried, to about the firmness of chocolate or wax.
