Reposting the Dry Sun Face

10 Jan

This is a sun face I have let thoroughly dry for about six weeks. Today I sanded it and gave it a final rub-down with steel wool, my favorite abrasive for pre-fired dry clay. I have six more things of comparable size and quality that just need an hour or two of similar finishing. When they’re all ready, I’ll stuff them in the kiln so they can all be fired at once (for a set fee). Then it’s off to California and the Oceanside Farmer’s Market or maybe e-Bay, etc., probably in April!
