Tech Break with Coffee Drippers

I’m tired of art, and making coffee drippers provides a nice change of pace. There’s a little bit of intuitive engineering required to keep it from forming a wet seal around the rim of the cup, making it naturally rest with the holes near the center of the cup, etc. My porcelain one was a beauty,

but the flat bottom makes for a bubbling, leaking mess. So here are some bottom designs I’m trying out. It’s also a fun way to try out some of the dozens of natural clay varieties that are out there.
